"Darling, there has been...speculation."
Lady Constance Chatterley is happily married to aristocrat Sir Clifford Chatterley, until he returns home from battle in the First World War, severely wounded. Confined to a wheelchair and impotent, Clifford grows more distant, leading Constance to find comfort in the company of their estate’s gamekeeper, Oliver Mellors. In 1920s Britain, an affair between a lady and a working man would scandalise society and serve to ostracise them both. Lady Chatterley must choose between propriety and love, while Mellors risks his safety, as they strive to evade the growing suspicions of her jealous and vengeful husband.
